2008 BMW ACA Oktoberfest Meeting

The third annual Oktoberfest for the BMWACA Portland Chapter was Z Night. Many different Z models will be celebrated, whether from Spartanburg or Germany. These includeded Z3, Z4, M Coupe (both S52 and S54 powered versions), M Roadster and Z8 models.

Our speaker was Dr. Eric Swenson, who had recently returned from the Monterey Weekend with the Z8 Owner’s Club. He shared photos and stories from the Monterey Historic Automobile Races and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, among other places he visited on his trip. As a surgeon, educator, and philanthropist, he is a dynamic speaker on topics of interest; and Z8s are certainly one of them. Z3 and Z4 roadsters and coupes, modified and otherwise were also on hand for viewing and discussion.

This year we had 150 attendees, up by 50% from last year! As usual we featured Otto's sausages and Stone Brewing Ruination Imperial IPA.
