2008 Portland Historic Automobile Races
The 2008 Baxter’s Historic Automobile Races were held July 11, 12 & 13, 2008 at PIR. The 2008 event celebrated women in motorsports. Once again it was a wonderful weekend of racing, viewing, autocrossing and socializing. The weather was, as usual, perfect, and Pacific Motorsports had numerous client and shop vehicles present, including many e30s, including those powered by M engines (s50 & s52) and forced induction (two turbos and a supercharged s52). It is one of our absolute favorite events of the year.
In our opinion the club corrals and parking areas are have almost as many worthy cars as the actual race cars and events on the track. Check out the many photos of racing, parading, viewing and socializing. See you later this year, when it will be held July 10, 11 & 12, 2009.
